What We Check During Every Electrical Install
Electrical work is about getting the connections right. We verify that the circuit is properly rated for the new fixture, that the wiring method matches code requirements, and that all connections are secure inside the junction box. A loose wire nut is the most common cause of intermittent fixture problems.
For ceiling fan installations, we check that the outlet box is rated for fan support. A standard light fixture box cannot support the weight and motion of a ceiling fan. If the existing box is not fan-rated, we install a proper support brace before mounting the fan.
We also verify that switches and dimmers are compatible with the fixture type. Using a standard dimmer with LED fixtures that require a compatible dimmer causes flickering and reduced bulb life.
