Pressure and Technique by Surface Type

Different surfaces require different pressure levels and nozzle tips. Concrete driveways and walkways can handle higher pressure (3,000+ PSI) with a rotating turbo nozzle for even cleaning. Wood decks and fences require lower pressure (1,000-1,500 PSI) with a wider fan tip to avoid gouging the wood grain.

Vinyl siding is typically washed at 1,500-2,000 PSI using a downstream injector for soap application. We work from bottom to top to avoid streaking and rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.

Brick, stone, and stucco require special care. These surfaces are porous and can be damaged by pressure that forces water behind the surface. We use lower pressure with a wider spray pattern and apply masonry-specific cleaning solutions for these materials.

  • Concrete: 3,000+ PSI with turbo nozzle for even cleaning
  • Wood decks: 1,000-1,500 PSI with wide fan tip to prevent surface damage
  • Vinyl siding: 1,500-2,000 PSI with soap application from bottom to top
  • Brick and stucco: low pressure with masonry-safe cleaning solution
