Seasonal Maintenance Checklist for Salt Lake County
Spring maintenance should focus on exterior inspection after winter: check the roof for damaged shingles, clean gutters of winter debris, inspect the foundation for cracks, and test the sprinkler system before the watering season begins. We bundle these checks into a single spring maintenance visit.
Summer is the ideal time for exterior painting, deck staining, and power washing. The warm, dry weather allows paint and stain to cure properly. We also recommend checking window screens and replacing any that were damaged during winter storms.
Fall maintenance should prioritize gutter cleaning after leaves drop, weatherstripping inspection around doors and windows, and furnace filter replacement before the heating season. Catching drafts and gutter issues in fall prevents bigger problems during winter.
Winter maintenance focuses on indoor tasks: checking for drafts, inspecting attic insulation, testing the humidifier, and addressing any minor repairs that accumulated during the year.
