Why outlet replacement is a safety issue

GFCI protection: the most important outlet upgrade

GFCI outlets protect against electrocution by cutting power when they detect a ground fault. Code requires GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor areas, and anywhere near water.

What we inspect during outlet replacement

We do not just swap the faceplate. We inspect the entire circuit — the breaker, the wiring in the box, and the connections to every outlet on that circuit.
For homes built before 1970, we also look for ungrounded two-slot outlets and discuss options for upgrading to modern three-prong grounded receptacles.
